NOIDA,
the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority is part of the state
of Uttar Pradesh. This integrated industrial city offers plentiful facilities
and infrastrucrure with modern concepts. Though it is a part of National
Capital region (NCR) it has a separate administrative zone and functions
as a separate district.
All
the development in the areas of Industry, Commerce and Trade have led
it to become a hub for multinational firms outsourcing IT services.
Many large Software and BPO companies have their offices here. With
suburban atmosphere in NOIDA and its proximity to Delhi it has the head
office of the Software Technologies Park, in Ganga Shopping Complex,
Sector 29. In industries, the music company T-Series is based in NOIDA.
NOIDA is fast emerging as a hub for automobile ancillary units, with
companies like Daewoo, Escorts, Honda-SIEL and New Holland Tractors
(JV of FIAT with Ford), opening up shop in the city. Of these Daewoo
is currently closed. Major manufacturing and other companies like ISGEC,
LG, Samsung also have their corporates in the city. MNC major ALSTOM,
a worldwide leader in power Plant equipments & rail services has
india's Corporate headquarters at Sector-127.
Commuting
between Delhi and Noida is easier with DND flyway, Metro (soon to be
operationa), Buses, Taxis, Autorickshaws connecting the two.
With green surroundings
and quality of infrastructure being widely admired and sought after,
an adjacent township - Greater NOIDA has been developed on the outskirts
of NOIDA to cater to the extraordinary influx of population into this
region.
Places of Interest
Noida Film City
It is presently the hub of all major news channels and famous studios.
It caters to the demands of the shooting and production of a large number
of television serials, news and other entertainment cum education programs
for various channels. Noida Film City is also house to prominent Media
company like T-Series, Network 18, CNN IBN and other. The Film City
is also a gateway to Noida's twin city Greater Noida.

City
Noida is set to emerge as the entertainment hotspot of the country with
opening of India's largest theme-based amusement park - Entertainment
City, also called World of Wonder - developed by Unitech Limited. Spread
over an area of 145 acres, the 1200 crore park is coming up in Sector
38A. A mix use development consisting of multiple theme parks (both
wet and dry), retail complexes and a 5-Star Hotel in strategic location,
right opposite sector 18 and Centrestage Mall.
